Summer is time to check the Batteries

Why Healthy Batteries Matter
Most modern automatic gate openers are battery-operated and rely on strong, fully charged batteries every day—not just during a power outage. The batteries supply the power needed to open and close your gate smoothly while the charger keeps them topped off.
As batteries age, they lose their ability to hold a charge. Weak batteries can cause:
Slow gate operation
Gates that stop before fully opening or closing
Random beeping or low-battery warnings
Increased strain on the gate operator
Complete gate failure during a power outage
In Florida's extreme summer heat, batteries wear out even faster. We recommend having your batteries tested during every maintenance visit and replacing them every 2–3 years, depending on usage and manufacturer recommendations.
Replacing a pair of batteries is far less expensive than an emergency service call or being unable to access your property when the power goes out.
